Indoor Magic

The perfect indoor plant food for your houseplants!

There is no fashion decor more natural or cheery than a houseplant to brighten up your home. When weather conditions make it difficult to garden outside, you can bring your hobby indoors with a variety of indoor houseplants. Caring for houseplants can make those cold winter months a little more enjoyable as you await the arrival of spring.

Even when indoor houseplants are chosen for their tolerance to indoor conditions, they still have the same growth requirements as plants grown outdoors. GardenIQ’s Indoor Magic is one formula that gives indoor plants everything they need to thrive indoors. Indoor gardening has never been easier, or more fun!

How it Works

For indoor plants, an ordinary house has adverse conditions. Factors such as temperature, light, and humidity can be challenging for even the best indoor gardening environment. Along with using special potting soil made for indoor plants, adding Indoor Magic every time you water your houseplants will provide your plants with everything they need!

Indoor Magic is a blend of catalytic enzymes, seaweed extract, fish emulsion, minerals, amino acids, vitamins, trace elements, and natural growth regulators. It only takes one teaspoon of concentrate in a quart of water every time you water your indoor plants.

Why Natural is Better

Chemical fertilizers and pesticides can be a tempting solution to common houseplants problems. However, the Environmental Protection Agency has warned that chemicals found in these products may be harmful to your nervous system, skin, eyes, and may even be cancer causing agents. Did you know that children living in homes using chemical pesticides are at higher risks for asthma, brain cancer, and childhood leukemia?

Instead of reaching for a chemical fertilizer, give your indoor plants a serving of Indoor Magic. Remember to use soil specially made for potted plants. This potting soil is different than using the local natural soil, which does not have proper nutrients, support, aeration, and drainage.

There are also a variety of natural and effective ways to fight indoor plant pests. Diatomaceous Earth is a solution to indoor gardening pest control that is safe for the whole family, including your children and pets.

More on Houseplants

Most houseplants are tropical or semi-tropical plants. Air purification is one of the many benefits of indoor plants. Indoor houseplants take in the carbon dioxide you exhale and release oxygen for you. Not a bad exchange! There are a few factors to consider in houseplant care:
  • Moisture: The best way to know when to water a plant is to check the soil moisture with your finger. Potted plants should be allowed to dry a little between watering. To water a plant, pour the water slowly until it drains out the bottom of the pot.
  • Light: Two aspects for providing light to your indoor plants are intensity and duration. Check to see if your houseplant needs direct sun. Many indoor plants prefer the shade, and may become “sunburnt” if exposed to direct rays of the sun for too long.
  • Potting: A common myth about houseplants is that they will grow bigger in bigger pots. Actually, a pot that is too large will retain too much moisture, causing root disease. On the other hand, a pot that is too small will hinder a plant’s growth. Be sure not to repot too much: plants can stay in the same pot for about two years.
  • Humidity: Although most indoor plants come from naturally humid environments, most adapt well to the dry air in winter, as long as they receive moisture through their roots. Contrary to popular belief, misting houseplants raises the humidity so little it has no practical use in indoor gardening other than keeping the leaves clean.
