How it Works
Luscious Lawn Corn Gluten can be used as natural means for weed control, while providing nutrients to established plants. Corn gluten meal is a powdery byproduct of the corn milling process used to make corn starch and corn syrup. It is often used in cattle feed and dog food. As a plant food, Luscious Lawn Corn Gluten is 9% nitrogen.
Luscious Lawn Corn Gluten also works as an herbicide (a pesticide used to kill unwanted plants). Natural chemicals called peptides found in corn gluten inhibit root formation at the time of germination. Luscious Lawn Corn Gluten dries out seeds as soon as they open to sprout.
Application: 20 lbs. per 1,000 square feet of lawn, garden, or flowerbed each spring and fall.

- Set your mower to a high setting (about 3 inches). This is crucial for a healthy lawn. Higher grass shades roots and keeps soil moist. Most importantly, it discourages weeds and pests.
